October 1 & 2, 2018

NASW Indiana chapter is currently accepting proposals for the 2018 Annual Conference October 1 & 2, 2018. Our Annual Conference is a meeting for the entire profession, everyone – from social work students to LCSWs in private practice – can benefit from the presentations offered. The conference is designed to focus on professional development, social worker physical and mental self-care, alternative practices and therapies, as well as issues related to practice of social work in general.

Specific topics include:

  • Families, adolescents,
    and children
  • Children and public welfare
  • Aging
  • Hospital and healthcare
  • Addictions
  • Dual diagnosis
  • Mental health
  • Private practice
  • Poverty
  • Social justice and advocacy
  • Administration and management
  • School social work
  • LGBTQ+ issues
  • Suicide prevention
  • Other areas related to social work
  • Social Work Ethics
  • Diversity/Cultural Competency
  • Macro-level practice

The conference will be held on October 1 & 2, 2018, with a keynote address each morning followed by breakout sessions ranging from 1.5 to 5.0 hours, with a limited number of 3-hour and 5-hour sessions. Submit your proposals using the form below or by printing the form and returning it to NASW Indiana with all required documents.

Proposals will be rated using the following criteria:

  • Clarity of content
  • Identifying the appropriate audience level and practice area
  • Utilizes research and/or outcome measures
    • Relevant to evidence-based practice
    • Research supported outcomes
  • Proposal that addresses all areas requested


 All proposals are due by March 16, 2018
