Since the formation of the State Chapter in 1975, the Finance Committee has been a standing committee.  It has basically played a monitoring function, however, in recent years the committee has provided oversight for development activities.
a.  Review of a budget for Board adoption reflective of the organization’s goals and priorities.
b.  Review of quarterly financial reports, and a year-end financial audit report which is sent to the National NASW Office. A summary is published for all members of the Chapter.
c.  Assure that an independent audit of the financial records and transactions of the organization is completed by a CPA each year.
d.  Develop and Review financial policies for the smooth operation of the fiscal affairs of the Chapter.
e.  Review and make recommendation of all fund development budgets and efforts. .
The Committee is empowered for overall responsibility of the Chapter’s financial affairs.
How to Get Involved in NASW Leadership:

Through the Indiana chapter you can volunteer for committees and task forces, write articles for the  newsletter, help plan chapter events, serve on the chapter board, become a regional representative, and run for other offices.  You can become active on the national level with NASW by getting involved in one of our national committees. It is because of volunteers like you that we are able to deliver high quality programs and services to our members.
