This workshop teaches the recovery tools necessary to support the betrayer while assisting the partner in regulating her trauma and setting boundaries to ensure her safety and stabilization.

Restoring the relationship after discovery requires that the betraying partner learn skills to promote trust building. Partners protect themselves by resisting these attempts. Clinicians need to be skilled in guiding the coupleship through the process of repairing the relationship. This entails building the betrayer's self-esteem while restoring the beginning stages of intimacy and connection to promote safety and stabilization for the spouse.
