Working with traumatized people has a profound impact on our personal lives - our thoughts, feelings, choices, relationships, physical health and spiritual benefits.  Although our clients often give us hope and restore our belief in the resiliency of human beings, the work can challenge or disrupt our sense of well-being.  This workshop will explore the highly individual ways that the work affects us as well as offer several strategies for chronic self-care.

NOTE - The regional Social Worker of the Year will be recognized at this event!

Dear NASW Indiana Region 3 Members:

As your Region 3 Representative, I would like to formally ask all social workers in every county to consider being an agent for change by volunteering for one (1) year on the Steering Committee.
If you are interested in or have the knowledge and/or skills in any or all of the following areas:
Program development
Public relations
Policy making
Student liaison

To just name a few – we are looking for all skills, abilities and assets to have a great Steering Committee for the next year to make our region reflect our passion, fulfill our needs, and network for a stronger organization.
The workload will be about 1 to 3 hours per month. Most of the meetings will be conducted through conference calls so that we can include social workers in all of our counties.
Please reply to with your name, email, phone number, and area(s) you are interested in.
